I'm ENGAGED!….4 Reasons Why I Want A Destination Wedding

If you did not know, I am engaged! And…we just closed on our 2nd investment property (and moved into it as well). Big news and a busy month (which why this is late, lol)!!

So for this month's topic, we will talk about the 4 reasons why I want a destination wedding - which will hopefully help you or your loved ones that are engaged to decide how they want to celebrate their special day!

1. Having an extended wedding celebration & vacationing in an amazing destination with the people you love the most.Celebrating your wedding beyond just the ceremony and reception with your family and friends, now that is my kind of wedding! You really get the chance to talk and spend quality time with your guests before and after the wedding day which is not always the case for local weddings.

2. Save time and have less stress! Having experts on your team is important to get through planning your wedding, especially in a destination you are not as familiar with. Depending on the destination, especially at all-inclusive Caribbean resorts, there are wedding planners included in the wedding packages offered -- meaning less time doing research and dealing with various vendors like the caterer, décor, etc.

Also, let's not forget the trusty travel agent / advisor! Adding the aspect of travel - flights, accommodations, ground transportation, excursions - is complicated enough. Leave the travel details to the expert AKA me! Haha quick plug -- VS1 Travels can help you find your perfect venue and coordinate all the travel for your guests so you can focus on the wedding details!

We officially have a yard and a garage! LOL

3. Your guests really want to be there for you on your special day.A trip is definitely an investment for your guest in terms of money and time, so for those that have RSVP'd and booked their travel to be there for your wedding day shows their love for you and your partner.

4. Opportunity to combine your wedding and honeymoon in one trip! You are already at a fantastic destination, why not turn it into your honeymoon and save money on another roundtrip flight?! Whether you decide to stay at the same hotel or venture to another one, the convenience of already being in a beautiful location will help you continue your celebration of each other.

And that's why I want a destination wedding! If you or anyone you know is considering a destination wedding and have questions on the process, feel free to reach out. :-)
